We’ve just launched the new website for Toot Sweets based in Oakham.

It’s an online arm of their business, giving all the inforamtion about them, their shop and their theme. It’s also an online shop selling all the great sweets we all love to suck, chew and lick.

They also have a great find the mice competition, find all 5 and win a FREE lolly pop!

It also has a special design, not the usual type.

Now for the tech

The website was built using valid standard compliant XHTML 1.0 and CSS 2, with parts in PHP including the shopping cart programming which used PayPal to authenticate the payments. This makes the website very quick to use and navigate.

The site is also fully Search Engine Optimized with many pages and sections setup for the search engines to understand and index correctly, helping to get good hits.

The website was lauched on Friday 4th December and they have already had their first order!

Our new main website is nearly ready for launch. We planned a launch date for the new year, a fresh start for 2010, and we’re on target.

We’ve got a brand new fresh design with many new features including a secure client area and simple to use FAQ help section.

We chose to use the Joomla! 1.5 platform to power the site giving us great usable plugin capabilities and built in services like site wide searches and customer poll’s.

We’re giving much more detail on our services helping users find information quickly and simply. The main aim of our site is to keep it simple, no need for jargon and mumbo jumbo, that’s what you get us to do.

We also have some partner companies that we work closely with offering other services like design, marketing and IT. More on these later.

We even have a new domain for our website, but don’t worry we’re keepig the old ones so you won’t have to change your bookmarks.
